AICTE Saksham Scholarship 2026-27: ₹50,000/year for differently-abled students in technical courses
For students with 40% or more disability in an AICTE-approved technical degree or diploma course. ₹50,000 a year, straight to your bank account. Apply on the National Scholarship Portal by 31 October 2026.
Who can apply
- Students with a benchmark disability of 40% or more (certified by a competent medical authority)
- Admitted to an AICTE-approved technical course: degree or diploma, first year (or second year via lateral entry)
- Family income criterion applies, check the current-year limit on the scheme page while applying on NSP
What you get
₹50,000 per year for the duration of the course, via Direct Benefit Transfer.
Deadline
Applications run on the National Scholarship Portal; the student deadline is 31 October 2026 (NSP portal date, verified 28 July 2026).
Documents to keep ready
- Disability certificate (≥40%, from competent medical authority)
- Marksheets, admission letter from the AICTE-approved institution
- Income certificate, Aadhaar seeded with your bank account
- Bank passbook, photo, fee receipt
How to apply
1. Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) on NSP, see our OTR guide on this site
2. Log in, search for "AICTE Saksham" under central schemes, fill and submit before 31 October
3. Institute verification happens after you submit, keep your college informed
