Who this site is for
Short answer: anyone who could be given money they never have to pay back, and does not know it exists or when it closes.
Not only students
Most people think a scholarship is something that happens to a school or college student. It is not. As of August 2026 the Government of India's own scheme portal, myscheme.gov.in, lists more than 4,700 schemes — and fewer than one in ten are tagged for students. The rest reach people who are working, who are between jobs, who teach, who run something small, who are raising a family.
Money for a research trip is a scholarship. A fellowship for an artist is a scholarship. A one-time grant that buys a laptop is a scholarship. So is a stipend for an apprentice, an award for an athlete, and the cash that arrives when a girl finishes Class 10.
At any age
That same portal lets you filter its education schemes by age, and the bands run from 0–10 all the way to 91–100. That is not a mistake in their design. There is money for a child who has not started school, and money for someone learning to read at sixty.

What counts as a scholarship here
One line decides it: money you keep.
It belongs on this site if you receive it and never pay it back — scholarships, fellowships, stipends, grants, awards, prizes, cash transfers, and things given in kind: a bicycle, a laptop, books, a uniform, an assistive device.
We do not cover loans. Not education loans, not business loans, and not a loan with a subsidy attached that makes it sound like a gift. We do not cover insurance. A product you owe money on is not a scholarship, however it is advertised — and there are already plenty of sites happy to blur that line.
Where you live does not decide it
Most of what we publish is for people in India. But an Indian passport works abroad too, and many schemes are open to Indian citizens wherever they are living. Some are open instead to people of Indian origin who hold another country's passport — which is a different thing, and we say which is which on the post, rather than letting you find out at the end of a form.
If a listing is not for you, the page should say so before you spend an evening on it.
What we will never do
- Charge you anything.
- Ask you to make an account to see a date.
- Take your application, your documents or your certificates. You always apply on the official site.
- Sell or pass on your details.
- Run "scholarship tests" that are really advertisements for coaching classes.
- Recommend a consultant or an agent. Not for money, and not for free.
What we do not cover yet
Honestly: most of it. We publish a small fraction of what exists, and we would rather say so than pretend to be complete. Every date here was read off the scheme's own page on the day the post went up, and re-read on a schedule after that. That is slow work. It is also the only thing that makes this site worth opening instead of the ten that copy each other.
The gap is the job. It closes a few scholarships at a time.
