Before You Apply

Who can apply

  • Passed Class 10 in 2026, for the two state programmes still open. The Mathura women-in-STEM programme is different, see below
  • Family income under ₹2 lakh a year for Daman and Diu; under ₹3 lakh for Nagaland and for the Mathura women-in-STEM program
  • Marks cutoffs are set per programme, and they are further apart than people expect. Read on 17 September 2026: Daman and Diu asks 80% or 8.5 CGPA in Class 10; Nagaland asks 70%, or 85% / 9+ CGPA for CBSE students. The Mathura women-in-STEM programme is the odd one out — it asks 70% in Class 12, not Class 10, and a first-year place on a degree or professional course in 2026-27
  • Every programme lowers its cutoff for students with a disability: 70% or 7.5 CGPA in Daman and Diu, 60% in Nagaland, 60% for Mathura

Which programmes are still open, and until when

Read on the official application page on 17 September 2026, opening each programme's own panel. Three programmes are accepting applications:

  • 20 September 2026 — Daman and Diu 11th Std, and Nagaland Plus1
  • 25 October 2026 — Vidyadhan Mathura Scholarship for Women in STEM, Uttar Pradesh

Mathura moved, and this page had it wrong. We showed 25 September. The programme's own panel now reads "25th October 2026: Application last date", a month later. Rajasthan moved the same way on 6 September. Vidyadhan extends individual rounds without announcing it, which is why we re-read the page instead of trusting our own last note.

Read one line on the Daman and Diu panel yourself. It asks for Class 10 passed in 2026 "from Gujarat", its instructions are in Gujarati, and its help address is the foundation's Gujarat one. If you finished Class 10 in Gujarat, open that panel before you decide this programme is not for you.

Programmes that have closed for 2026. Andhra Pradesh Intermediate, Bihar plus-2, Chhattisgarh 11th, Goa 11th, Haryana and Chandigarh 11th, Himachal 11th, Jammu and Kashmir 11th, Jharkhand Intermediate, Karnataka 11th, Kerala Plus 1, Ladakh 11th, SECMOL Ladakh, Meghalaya Plus1, Delhi 11th, Odisha Plus-2, Punjab 11th, Rajasthan 11th, Tamil Nadu Plus 1, Telangana Intermediate, Puducherry Plus 1, Uttar Pradesh 11th, and West Bengal Higher Secondary. If yours is on this list the round is over for this year. It reopens after the Class 10 results, so check again around April.

About the date on the card. It carries 25 October, the last of the three to close. It is not your date unless you are applying to the Mathura women-in-STEM programme — Daman and Diu and Nagaland close on 20 September.

What you get

For Class 11 and 12 the foundation's own programme pages state a maximum of ₹10,000 a year. For graduation courses the About section says the amount "varies from Rs 10,000 to Rs 75,000 per year depending on the state, course, duration etc." The Mathura women-in-STEM panel states ₹15,000 to ₹75,000 a year, depending on the course. Support continues from Class 11 through graduation if you keep meeting the conditions, and the foundation also runs mentoring for scholars.

Applying costs nothing. The foundation states it plainly: "Students can apply free of cost on the website direclty. No other person or institutions have been authorized to select students on our behalf." Anyone asking you for a fee to apply for Vidyadhan is not connected to it.

How to apply

Apply online at vidyadhan.org/apply. Pick your state's program, register, and complete the form before your state's last date. Selection usually involves a test or interview after the application closes.
