Kotak Kanya Scholarship 2026-27: ₹1.5 lakh a year for girl students, apply by 20 August
Passed Class 12 with 75% or more, and family income under ₹6 lakh? You can get ₹1.5 lakh a year for a first-year professional course: Engineering, MBBS, Integrated LLB, Design, Architecture, IISER/IISc BS-MS. The form closes 20 August 2026.
Who can apply
- Female students from anywhere in India
- Class 12 passed with at least 75% marks (or equivalent CGPA)
- Admitted to the FIRST year of a professional program: Engineering (B.E./B.Tech), MBBS, Integrated LLB, Integrated BS-MS at IISER/IISc, Design, or Architecture
- Annual family income up to ₹6,00,000
- Children of Kotak Mahindra Group, Kotak Education Foundation and Buddy4Study employees are not eligible
What you get
₹1.5 lakh per year, continued through the professional degree (subject to the foundation's renewal conditions).
Documents to keep ready
- Class 12 marksheet
- Parental income proof (ITR for FY 2025-26 if available)
- Admission/seat allocation letter and college fee structure
- Bonafide certificate
- Entrance exam scorecard (JEE/NEET/CLAT etc., as applicable)
- Masked Aadhaar, bank passbook, passport-size photo
- Disability certificate / parent's death certificate, if applicable
- Photographs of your house (this scheme asks for them)
